Deleting your account

You can delete your FutureNerds account on the website or in the app. It cannot be undone.

Before you delete

FutureNerds will not delete your account while:

• One of your children is enrolled at a school. Ask the school to withdraw your child first.
• An invoice, subscription, or billing assignment names you as the payer. Ask the school to settle or move it first.

If one of these stops you, email privacy@futurenerds.dev.

Delete your account on the website

1. Open the account menu and click Profile Settings.
2. Open the Account tab.
3. Click Delete My Account.
4. Type DELETE in the box and click Permanently Delete Account.

You are signed out when it finishes.

Delete your account in the app

• iPhone or iPad: open More, tap Delete Account, and confirm.
• Android: open More, then Settings, tap Delete Account, and confirm.

What is deleted

• Your login and profile
• Your applications and their documents
• Children only you look after who were never enrolled
• Your links to your children, your contacts, and your child shares
• Your messages, reactions, poll votes, and pins
• Your profile photo and payment proofs

What is kept

• The school's records about children who were enrolled
• Other records you worked on, with your name removed

Your personal data is deleted or anonymized, usually within 30 days. Records the law requires us to keep, such as tax and accounting records, are kept longer. Backups are cleared on a regular cycle.
